OUR HISTORY
The Sanctuary was founded in 2006 by Pastor Bryan Cockrell. It began meeting in the Riverside Baptist Church facilities on Hardy McManus Rd. in Evans at 1:30 in the afternoons. In January of 2007, we relocated to the Jabez Harding Sanford Auditorium in the Columbia County Library.
In April of 2007, the church purchase the property on Byrd Rd. from the Evans Community Baptist Church. This 18,000 square foot facility allowed the church greater opportunity to reach out to the Martinez/Evans area and the church soon added a second morning worship service.
In February 2010, a brand new, 800 seat auditorium, complete with spacious lobby, bookstore, coffee shop, and administrative offices was dedicated.
